SASHA at Epos-France meeting in Nice
***November 1, 2023
**The members of the SASHA project are gearing up to present the initial findings of their work at the upcoming Epos-France meeting, scheduled from November 7 to 10, 2023, in Nice. This event marks the official launch of the Epos-France platform and provides an opportunity for numerous French scientists to present emerging research topics. Valentin SCHINDELHOLZ will unveil the first results of the SASHA project through a poster presentation titled "Combined InSAR-geophysical-seismological data for high-resolution site-effect modeling and ShakeMap generation, case study of Grenoble, France." Engaging in discussions with the scientific community is crucial for sharing results, proposing new hypotheses, and exchanging ideas.
The SASHA Project is presenting its first results at the WCEE Conference
***October 15, 2023
**The SASHA project team is proud to announce the submission of their first conference paper to the World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (WCEE). The paper, titled "Satellite imagery strategies for mapping site resonance periods at a fine spatial scale," with a soon-to-be-available DOI, will reveal the initial findings of the study conducted in Grenoble. The conference presentation will be delivered by Valentin SCHINDELHOLZ, Ph.D. student in the project. This conference provides an opportunity to introduce the project to the international community and exchange scientific methodologies.
SASHA project members successfully conduct first ShakeMaps generation tests
***October 2-5, 2023
**The SASHA project team achieved a significant step by successfully conducting trials and tests for ShakeMap generation. These tests took place during their visit to the Earth and Observatory Sciences Laboratory (EOST) in Strasbourg between October 3rd and 4th, where the team collaborated with Antoine Schlupp, a SASHA project member, and his team of ShakeMap experts.
SASHA Project Launch Date
***April 30, 2023
**Following the official launch of the SASHA project in February 2023, research activities started in April 2023, with Valentin SCHINDELHOLZ beginning his thesis on April 1st and research engineer, Aya CHEAIB, starting its contract on April 17. Their respective work aims to address the challenges posed by the SASHA project. They will be working together on this project for around 2 years.
