Laboratories
ISTerre
A joint research unit of CNRS, Université Grenoble Alpes, Université Savoie Mont Blanc, IRD, and Université Gustave Eiffel, the Institute of Earth Sciences (ISTerre) is one of the main laboratories of the Grenoble Observatory for Earth Sciences. ISTerre focuses on the physical and chemical study of the Earth. By combining observations of natural objects, experiments, and modeling of complex phenomena, the institute investigates major systems related to the Earth’s interior.
The SASHA project will take place mainly within the ISTerre laboratory on the Grenoble campus, as part of a research team specialized in seismic risk estimation (Geophysics of seismic and gravitational risks team), composed of 10 researchers.

ITES
The Institute of Earth and Environment in Strasbourg (ITES) (UMR7063) started on January 1, 2021, under the supervision of the CNRS, the University of Strasbourg, and the ENGEES. This new UMR is based on the four disciplinary pillars of the study of the Earth and its surface environment : Hydrology, Geochemistry, Geology, and Geophysics. ITES consists of seven teams involved in five thematic axes : Deformations and hazards, dynamics of continental surfaces, water resources and associated transfers, structure and dynamics of the Earth, and geological systems and (geo)reservoirs.
Within the framework of the SASHA project, shakemaps will be developed within the EOST (School and Observatory of Earth Sciences) by the BCSF-Rénass, the national seismological observation service, in close collaboration with the ITES laboratory. The work of BCSF-Rénass and ITES is notably part of the "Shakemap" Axis of the Epos-France Transverse Seismicity Action and at the European level through the representation of Epos-France in the calculation of European shakemaps "EU-ShakeMap" (Géo-INQUIRE).
